PCCI, two top ten finishes at Misano

In the fifth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia held at Misano Adriatico, Dinamic Motorsport secured two top ten finishes with Aldo Festante and Dirk Schouten; young Lorenzo Cheli continues to make progress...

Misano Adriatico (ITA). Dinamic Motorsport leaves the Misano Adriatico circuit with two top ten finishes at the end of a weekend that could have offered much better results. The team led by Maurizio Lusuardi showed excellent potential in the fifth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia season, but a series of unfortunate incidents prevented them from capitalizing on their performance on the track. Aldo Festante finished Race 1 in seventh position, with Race 2 promising even greater satisfaction: after a brilliant qualifying result that earned him a second row start, a jump start penalty compromised his weekend, thwarting a possible podium finish. Dirk Schouten took home ninth place, limiting the damage after a less than ideal qualifying session, while Lorenzo Cheli, the youngest member of the team, impressed with his pace and determination: starting from the back of the grid, he showed flashes of talent and steady improvement throughout the race. Although the final results do not fully reflect the team's potential, Dinamic Motorsport confirms its competitiveness and looks forward with confidence to the final round of the season, with the aim of returning to the top positions on a permanent basis.

Lorenzo Cheli: “It was a challenging weekend in front of the home crowd, but one marked by continuous progress in terms of performance. We knew that starting further back would make it difficult to catch up, but I tried to give my all in every session. Overall, I am satisfied with the work we have done and the progress we have made together with the team!”.

Aldo Festante: “It wasn't the weekend we had imagined, but that's part of racing. Sometimes you pay for a mistake, other times circumstances put you in difficulty. The important thing is not to lose confidence and to keep growing, because we are returning home knowing that we have great potential, even if it wasn't reflected in the results. The grand finale awaits us at Monza, and I'll give it my all to end the season as we deserve, with a performance that reflects the work we've done throughout the year!”.

Dirk Schouten: “The weekend started off on a positive note: during free practice, we managed to improve the car's setup, finding a good balance and competitive pace. Unfortunately, in qualifying, I wasn't able to realize the car's full potential and found myself starting in the middle of the pack, with all the difficulties that this entails. In Race 1, I had good pace and made up several positions. Race 2 was more challenging, but we still gathered useful data to continue to grow and prepare ourselves as best we can for the next round!”.
